Notary Public Bond Requirements and Filing Fees to Increase

Effective January 1, 2012, Alabama Code Section 36-20, pertaining to Notary Publics will change and become law:

  1. All Notary Publics will be commissioned “State at Large
  2. The Notary Bond requirement will increase from $10,000 to $25,000

Baldwin County Notary Public filing fee will remain $21.00

The Probate Judge in Baldwin County is a publicly elected representative of the people for the administration of the Probate Court, License Office and the “Recorder’s” Office – for official public recordation of documents.
